The profile is the first thing the person you messaged sees, and the first thing a moderator looks at when a report arrives. An empty profile loses with both.
Name
Human, two words. Not «Sales Manager» and not a string of symbols. The name is the only field visible in a chat list, and it decides whether the message gets opened.
Photo
Required. An account with no photo reads as disposable, and reporting it costs the recipient less effort. That said, it should not be the first stock portrait in a search — those get recognised.
Username
Debatable. It makes the account findable by name: a plus for anyone people come back to, a minus for anyone who would rather not be found. For cold outreach it is closer to necessary — without it nobody can verify you exist.
What to write in the bio is covered in what to put in a profile.
What must not be there
External links on day one. Promises of earnings. Wording that reads as advertising. All of it accelerates reports and adds no replies.
When to fill it in
Before the account writes to anyone, and not all in one go. A profile completed a minute after the first login looks like exactly what it is: preparation. Spread it across the warm-up.
Why this matters at all
Reports are the main mechanism by which accounts die. A filled profile does not stop them but reduces them, and that feeds straight into lifespan — see day one restrictions.
