Warm-up is a period where the account behaves like an ordinary user and sends nothing out. It sounds like lost time and saves it: an account put to work immediately after registration usually does not survive long enough to pay for itself.
Why a fresh account is exposed
An anti-spam system has no way to tell a new real user from a new spammer except by behaviour. So a presumption of suspicion applies: the same message count an older account sends calmly becomes a signal from a new one.
History is not only age. It is subscriptions, chat membership, reading, reactions, correspondence. An account registered six months ago and silent throughout is barely better than one registered yesterday.
What warm-up consists of
- A filled profile. Name, photo, bio. An empty profile is itself a signal.
- Channel subscriptions. Ordinary, varied, by interest — a few at a time, not twenty in a minute.
- Reading. The account opens channels and views posts. That is visible on Telegram's side.
- Reactions. A low-risk action that produces a live-user signal.
- Joining chats. A few groups, again gradually.
- Correspondence. Exchanging messages with accounts already known to it — the strongest signal, because the exchange goes both ways.
What must not be in warm-up: messages to strangers. That is precisely what the account is being protected from.
How long
The honest answer is that no exact term exists, because no rules are published. In observed practice: several days of quiet activity before the first outgoing messages, then a gradual rise in load over a couple of weeks rather than going straight to full.
It helps to think in load rather than days. The account is ready not when N days have passed, but when it has a history against which new activity does not look sudden.
Common mistakes
- Warm-up on a precise schedule. Even intervals are themselves a sign of automation. Variation is mandatory.
- Night-time activity. An account reading channels at four in the morning every day looks odd.
- Warming every account identically. Ten accounts subscribing to the same twenty channels in the same order get associated with each other.
- An abrupt transition. Warm-up ends and full load begins the same hour, which cancels the point of it.
On bought "warmed" accounts
The account is sold as warmed, but what was done with it beforehand is unknown. Some carry restrictions already, some are linked to a hundred others from the same seller. None of this is checkable before purchase.
It does not mean you should not buy — it means you will warm them yourself anyway, and should not treat them as reliable.
