The First Message in Gambling Outreach

What an opening message that gets replies is made of, and which phrasings in gambling lead straight to a spam block.

The First Message in Gambling Outreach

The opening message solves two problems at once: get a reply and avoid a complaint. Those pull in opposite directions — everything that lifts response rate through cheap tricks lifts complaints too. What follows works without that trade.

What a working message contains

  1. A reason. Why you are writing to this person specifically. «Saw your comment under the match review» is a reason. «Hi!» is not.
  2. One short thought. An observation, a question, a disagreement. Not an offer.
  3. A question at the end. Open, so it cannot be answered with yes or no.

That is all. No link, no offer, no description of yourself. Three or four lines at most: a long opening message from a stranger does not get read.

What kills the account

  • A link in the first message. The fastest route to a complaint.
  • Words like «earnings», «scheme», «guaranteed». Everyone has seen them and everyone knows how it ends.
  • The same text to the whole list. People from one chat overlap. The opening line has to come from alternatives — message sequences turns one template into a hundred different texts.

Why variety beats wording

There is no perfect text, but identical text definitely exists, and that is what leads to spam blocks. Ten mediocre variants beat one excellent one: about the same response rate, several times fewer complaints.

Pace

Twenty to thirty messages a day per account in the first week, then upward gradually. Starting at a hundred means a spam block on day two, and no wording prevents it. What happens past the limit is shown in spam restriction after ten messages.

Worth remembering what all this work on copy is for: a referral who reaches a deposit is paid on CPA — up to $250 at 1win Partners — and if they stay, revshare from 50% kicks in. The difference between those two outcomes is decided in the opening message: how you invited them is how they play.

How to test copy

Not by feel but by response: two variants, a hundred messages each, compare reply rates. One run is not enough — a difference under 1.5x on a hundred contacts means nothing.
