Proxies get inspected after an account is restricted. Doing it first is cheaper: half the problems are visible in five minutes, and none of them cost as much as a lost account.
1. It connects at all
Connection established, authentication accepted, exit address equal to the one you were sold. A proxy that works intermittently is already a problem: dropped sessions read as suspicious activity, not as bad wiring.
2. Region matches the number
An account with a number from one country connecting from another is not fatal, but it is a reason to look closer — especially if the country changes between logins. Keep the parameters agreeing with each other: the account fingerprint.
3. The address is stable
For mobile proxies rotation is normal; for everything else it is a warning sign. A slow, constant address beats a fast, jumping one — Telegram cares more about consistency than throughput.
4. The address is not burnt
Cheap public proxies have usually been used for outreach already, and an account can be limited right after its first login for somebody else's history. There is no direct way to check this; the indirect one is to put a disposable account behind the proxy for a couple of days before committing a real one.
5. One proxy, one account
Not a test but the rule people break precisely when saving money. A shared address links accounts to each other, and a restriction on one raises the risk for the rest — proxies for Telegram accounts.
Why cheap costs more
Price the proxy together with the risk to the account behind it. An account with history and warm-up is worth considerably more than a month of a decent proxy, and it does not come back — recovering a locked account.
If a restriction already arrived
Find out what happened first, then reduce activity. Do not change proxies in the middle of it: a limited account appearing from a new address makes the situation worse — what to do about a restriction.
