Story views are the most available number and the least useful. They say the notification arrived and the person opened it. About your offer or their interest they say nothing.
What to count instead
- Replies per hundred mentions. The core metric; everything else derives from it.
- Conversations that got to the point. «What is this?» and «how much?» are different events. Count the second separately.
- Accounts spent. How many went into restrictions over the period. Without that number, any growth in volume looks like success.
Cost per conversation
Add up the period's costs — subscription, accounts, proxies — and divide by the number of conversations that reached a real discussion. That is the only figure comparable with advertising, because it includes the losses.
Comparing variants
Change one thing at a time and keep samples comparable: one list, one period, one time of day. Comparing a March caption with a May one on different lists says nothing.
When the numbers do not add up
If there are no replies at all, the cause is usually mechanical rather than editorial: closed settings, broken offsets, a restricted account. Check those first — why the mention produced nothing.
How Neurogram does this
Everything above is manual work that runs into the number of hours in a day. Neurogram does it on your own accounts and without you: it collects channels and audiences, writes comments and replies with a language model, and keeps limits and quiet hours so the accounts survive. See pricing or look at your case.
