Choosing a channel, what to agree with the admin, what the post should say and how to count the result rather than the clicks.

Buying ads in Telegram channels without wasting the budget

Paid posts are the fastest way to gain subscribers and the fastest way to lose money. The difference is decided before payment: channel choice, terms and the text.

Choosing the channel

Subject match matters more than size. A hundred-thousand channel outside your field produces clicks and almost no subscriptions — curiosity, a look, gone. A five-thousand channel inside a narrow niche often does better.

Check for inflation before paying, always: spotting a fake channel.

What to agree on

  • Publication time. A post that goes out at three in the morning gets a fraction of normal reach. Agree a window, not "sometime that day".
  • How long it stays up. The market standard is a day in the feed and an hour or two with nothing published above it.
  • Format. Your text, or a post written in the admin's own voice. The second usually performs better and its price is higher.
  • What happens if reach collapses. Nobody guarantees numbers, but agreeing on a repeat if reach is far below normal is standard practice.

The text

The common mistake is writing an advertisement. Readers came for the channel, not for notices, and they switch off instantly. What works is a post that gives something on its own — a breakdown, an observation — with the link as a continuation rather than the point.

And do not send people to an empty channel: growing a channel from zero.

Counting the result

Count subscriptions and what followed, not clicks. Clicks say the headline worked; subscriptions say the channel looked worth keeping; enquiries say the audience was yours.

Separate sources with tagged links — one per placement: tracking traffic. And compare against the alternative before committing a budget: traffic vs paid ads.

How Neurogram does this

Everything above is manual work that runs into the number of hours in a day. Neurogram does it on your own accounts and without you: it collects channels and audiences, writes comments and replies with a language model, and keeps limits and quiet hours so the accounts survive. See pricing or look at your case.
