Listings advertise channel speed, and speed is rarely what slows you down. Here is what actually does.
Bandwidth barely matters
Telegram traffic during account work is tiny: text messages, service calls, the occasional image. A gigabit channel gives you nothing — there is nothing to fill it with.
The exception is sending media or cloning channels with video. Then the channel counts, but even there it is usually not the bottleneck.
Latency matters, but not the way you think
A hundred milliseconds or three hundred changes nothing: pauses between account actions are measured in seconds. What hurts is not a high number but an unstable one. When latency jumps from fifty to two thousand, connections drop and the account reconnects.
What to read instead of the numbers
Stability across a day. Not «how many milliseconds right now» but «how many drops since morning». Drops cost more than latency: every reconnect is a login, and frequent logins from one address look worse than a slow line.
How to measure it before buying: testing a proxy.
When it is not the proxy
«Slow» often means Telegram's own limits rather than bandwidth: the client is being throttled and the proxy has nothing to do with it. See what flood wait means.
Conclusion
Choose on type, privacy and stability. Speed comes last on that list, and optimising for it means paying for something you do not use.
