Two ways to automate Telegram work. They differ less in features than in where everything happens.
Uptime
Software runs while the computer is on. At night the accounts are silent, a reboot stops everything, a power cut interrupts the task. Cloud keeps accounts running around the clock — and discussions live at night, so the first comment under a morning post belongs to whoever was not asleep.
The address
With desktop software the IP changes with yours: home, office, café. To Telegram that is an account permanently relocating. Cloud gives a fixed exit point, which is precisely what a real person looks like.
Session files
Downloaded software gets full access to your accounts on your own machine, and what it does with them cannot be verified. A cloud service also receives sessions — the difference is that it has a public offer, a data policy and a reputation it risks. Not a guarantee, but more than an anonymous executable offers.
Updates
Telegram changes rules and limits. Cloud updates itself; software has to be re-downloaded, and an old build one day stops working silently.
When desktop wins
When the task is one-off and the data must not leave your machine at all. For continuous work with a fleet the advantages sit with cloud, and they are about account survival rather than convenience. What runs in the cloud is on the automation page.
