Without your own statistics you control nothing: you see a total and not what it is made of. Here is the minimum set.
Four numbers that decide everything
Clicks. Registrations. First deposits. Repeat deposits. The ratios between neighbouring numbers are your conversion rates, and the place to fix is always where the drop is sharpest.
The fifth number is income, but it is a consequence rather than a cause, and looking at it first tells you nothing.
Why tags
Without them every click merges into one stream and you cannot separate a chat from a channel or one message from another. A tag per source is the minimum discipline; without it there is nothing to optimise.
What a postback is
A notification the programme sends you when something happens to a player: registered, deposited. It exists so your statistics update themselves rather than being copied out of a dashboard by hand.
If you have nowhere to receive them, start with tags and a weekly manual reconciliation — that is enough at the beginning.
Why keep your own records
To notice a divergence. The gap between your numbers and the programme's is the only way to spot an undercount, and it only works if your numbers exist from day one rather than from the day you grew suspicious.
