A post set for noon goes out at 11:59 or 12:01. That is deliberate.
Only bots publish at 12:00:00
A person publishing by hand does not hit the second. They press the button when they get to it: 12:00:37, 11:58:12. An account that publishes at exactly 12:00:00 day after day behaves in a way a human cannot.
Precision by itself is not forbidden. It is one signal among many, and the picture is built from small things — why accounts get restricted.
How much of a shift
A couple of minutes is enough: the schedule survives, the precision does not. A wider spread starts to get in the way — if a post is tied to an event, ten minutes can matter.
What else moves the time
- The queue. Three posts set for the same minute go out one after another, not together.
- Telegram limits. A flood wait postpones publishing until it ends.
- A service restart. A post whose time fell during one goes out slightly later.
When a post does not go out at all
If the delay is large — the service was down for half a day — skipping is better than publishing «good morning» at five in the afternoon. What to do.
