There is no free traffic — there is traffic paid for with something other than money. Understanding that substitution separates the people it works for from the people looking for a button marked «get customers».
What you pay instead
- Time. Comments, chats, your own content — hours every day, and you have a finite number of them.
- Accounts. They are consumables: they burn out and get replaced. That is money again, just on a different line.
- Speed. Free sources take weeks to spin up, not a day.
What works
Comments under fresh posts. The only source that puts you in front of someone else's reader at the moment they are reading.
Replies in topical chats. Slower, but people remember you.
DMs to a collected list. Fastest response, fastest account burn.
Your own channel. Not a source but a reservoir: it turns one-off contacts into an audience you can write to again.
What does not work
Identical-text spam, link exchanges with dead channels, inflated numbers, blasting bought lists with no usernames. All of it exists, is sold, and ends the same way.
How the fleet cost adds up is in what an account fleet costs.
