A comment thread is read from the top and abandoned quickly. The value of a comment is therefore set not only by what it says but by what number it is.
Why position matters this much
People open a discussion, read the first few replies and close it. Nobody scrolls a hundred messages to the end. Your text can be the best in the thread — if it is twentieth, a handful of people see it.
There is a second effect: the opening comments set the register. A thoughtful breakdown at the top pulls the thread that way; three emoji at the top pull it the other.
How long the window lasts
It depends on the channel. In a large active one the first ten comments appear within minutes; in a narrow professional one the thread lives for hours. There is no universal figure, only a rule: the bigger the channel, the shorter the window.
Practically, small channels can be worked calmly and large ones require reacting to publication rather than checking in once a day.
Why this is hard by hand
To land near the top you have to know about the post as it appears. With ten channels that is possible; with a hundred it is not, because they publish whenever they like and you would have to watch all of them at once, around the clock.
That is where automation earns its place — not to write more, but to arrive in time. On list size: how many channels you need.
What speed must not cost
Posting a prepared line without reading the post. An irrelevant comment at the top is worse than a relevant one at the bottom: it gets deleted and the account is remembered — why moderators delete comments.
And never put two of your accounts at the top of the same thread. Two first comments from two of your names is the most visible pattern there is.
How Neurogram does this
Everything above is manual work that runs into the number of hours in a day. Neurogram does it on your own accounts and without you: it collects channels and audiences, writes comments and replies with a language model, and keeps limits and quiet hours so the accounts survive. See pricing or look at your case.
